After the Pegasus rally B., Ken and Jim stayed in a biker friendly Hotel "Zur Hardtmühle" in Alsfeld which you can find along the Fairytail Trail in Germany

They have ordered an Oompta band to welcome us... Ay right :-). There was a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration, therefore the marquise and the band which we watched from our hotel balcony (I hate oompta bands!!!)

We met Johanna and Moritz at the Hardtmühle who highly recommended to stay in a monastary during our holidays. Thanks for the tip guys, we did get there the following day :-)

Moritz is playing in a band called Strikeninedead. As we all know, this band will be very famous in the future so we got Moritz's autograph already, lol :o)

We have been drinking all sorts of stuff in Germany, famously Feiglinge, Kümmerling, Jägermeister etc... found a new one here - Babalou. Try it some time, it is really nice, hmmm, yummy.

On the way up to the "Three Crosses" which is a place of Pilgrimage at the monastery. It's quite high up and it took me several "breathing" stops to get up there :o)

Initially we planned to stay in Weimar (East Germany) for a couple of days but there were only 5 star hotels available. Sod that!

Still in East Germany. As we could not stay in Weimar, we moved on and went to (also very famous) Jena (famous for Zeiss optics, check your camera lense :o)). Found a hotel close to town center. The hotel had its own private pet zoo at the back, awww

These hooks are still to see in a cellar in the concentration camp... they hung people up here. There was a lift from this cellar up to the ovens... spooky

To Each Is Own

On the way back from E.Germany. Just to say that most of the country roads are still in a horrible state. The landscape is great though. Found this Biker friendly place in Wutha. Well worth staying for a weekend if you have the time and are anywhere close. Unfortunately we just had time for lunch and some (non-alcoholic ;-)) beverages at this place

Stop gap. On our way to the next rally we found this place in the middle of nowhere. The place is not really a bikers place (no wonder with them roads :0)) but we were made very welcome. Good food, good beer and a very relaxing atmosphere. Check http://www.schreinersmuehle.de/
